Welcome to MaidConnect Singapore! By accessing or using our platform, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. These terms outline the mutual rights, responsibilities, and obligations between you (the "User") and MaidConnect Singapore Pte Ltd ("MaidConnect"). If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using our services.

1. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes or claims arising shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.


2. Our Commitment

MaidConnect Singapore is committed to providing a reliable, efficient, and transparent platform connecting Employers with Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs). We uphold all regulations and standards set by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Eligibility

For Employers

  • Must be at least 21 years old and legally permitted to hire MDWs under Singapore law.
  • Must ensure compliance with MOM guidelines and employment obligations.

For MDWs

  • Must be 23 years or older, in good health, and eligible for work in Singapore as per MOM regulations.
  • MDWs may only register for personal employment opportunities, not on behalf of agencies unless explicitly approved by MaidConnect Singapore.

Prohibited Entities

  • Employment agencies or businesses may not use MaidConnect Singapore to access, solicit, or advertise services without prior written authorization.

4. User Registration and Accounts

  • Accuracy: Users must provide truthful and accurate information during registration.
  • Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. MaidConnect Singapore is not liable for unauthorized access due to user negligence.
  • Account Ownership: Each individual is permitted one account. Accounts are non-transferable and must not be shared.

Account Suspension or Termination

MaidConnect Singapore reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  1. Provide false information.
  2. Engage in prohibited activities.
  3. Breach any terms outlined in this document.

5. Platform Access

MaidConnect Singapore strives to ensure uninterrupted access but cannot guarantee:

  1. 24/7 uptime due to maintenance or technical issues.
  2. Compatibility with third-party services or devices.

Users are advised to keep their software and devices updated for optimal performance.


6. Services Offered

MaidConnect Singapore facilitates connections between Employers and MDWs and provides value-added services to streamline the hiring process.

Employer Services

  • Access to MDW profiles and recruitment tools.
  • Transparent fees, including promotional flat rate hiring options and Direct Hire services.

MDW Services

  • Profile creation to maximize job placement opportunities.
  • Free access to job listings and guidance on compliance with employment standards.

Third-Party Support

MaidConnect Singapore may collaborate with licensed agencies to enhance job placement opportunities for MDWs and Employers. Users acknowledge and consent to such collaborations, where necessary.


7. User Responsibilities

Employers

  • Comply with MOM regulations, including work permits, salaries, and other obligations.
  • Treat MDWs fairly, ensuring a safe working environment.

MDWs

  • Provide accurate personal and professional details.
  • Notify Employers and MaidConnect Singapore promptly of any changes affecting their employment status.

General

  • Users agree not to bypass MaidConnect Singapore platform for direct arrangements, which undermines the platform's integrity.
  • Prohibited activities include harassment, misuse of information, and attempts to compromise platform security.

8. Fees and Promotions

  • All service fees are transparently stated on the platform and are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Promotional offers, such as discounted hiring fees or promo codes, are subject to the stated terms and may be revoked if misused.

9. Privacy Policy

MaidConnect Singapore is committed to protecting your privacy under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

Data Usage

  • Personal data is collected solely to provide our services. This includes contact details, employment history, and preferences.
  • Data may be shared with third parties only when required by law or explicitly consented to by the user.

User Rights

  • Users can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data.
  • Deleted accounts are archived for 12 months, after which they are permanently removed unless required for legal purposes.

Security

MaidConnect Singapore employs robust measures to protect user data but cannot guarantee complete security due to evolving cyber threats.


10. Limitation of Liability

MaidConnect Singapore is an intermediary platform and cannot guarantee:

  • Employment outcomes or compatibility between Employers and MDWs.
  • The accuracy of information provided by users.
  • Liability for disputes, injuries, damages, or losses arising from employment arrangements.

Users are encouraged to independently verify information and consult legal advisors when necessary.


11. Dispute Resolution

MaidConnect Singapore encourages all parties to resolve disputes amicably. If resolution fails, disputes will be referred to Singapore courts under Singapore law.


12. Amendments to Terms

MaidConnect Singapore reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions. Significant changes will be communicated via email or the platform. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
